I have to block out thoughts of you

How the hell do I get myself into these kinda messes, honestly...

[The Oni gripes to himself as he sits on the floor across from a heavily bandaged human who has yet to come to.

A huge war currently rages against the humans and Oni. The Oni had been attempting to take back land stolen away from them hundreds of years ago by samurai, only in the present day to be populated by their ancestors. Now that people were enjoying peace and weren't used to war, it was easy for the Oni to decimate huge swaths of the country before the humans could properly fight back against them. Now, things were becoming truly bloody and violent as the pushback grew ever fiercer, more prevalent but at the very least further away from the civilian areas it began.

Kirishima, one of the strongest Oni in his faction known for his firey red hair and boistrous personality, had been fighting on those very battlefields when he caught sight of a golden shock of hair, so bright he'd initially mistaken it for one of his Oni comrades. Instead...it just so happened to be human, far smaller and near death. Any other Oni on his side would have taken their club and bashed his head in, especially seeing the huge wound in his side he was bleeding out from. But Kirishima...he didn't approve of the war and fighting. He did it because that was the Oni way, the law. To be a grown adult and refuse to fight for your clan meant treason and certain death, and he did like being alive.

So why would he do something so stupid as this?

He huffs, his fangs chewing on his bottom lip as he pushes his hands into his knees and waits, having done everything he could do. Oni were much stronger and more magically intune than humans, which meant that he was able to stop the bleeding in time as well as get...what was out of him back in and closed up so he wouldn't die that way. It's just a matter of waiting to see if it will hold.]
