Bark's Locomotive Apartment Complex
[The town was having its annual festival that honored the best heroes in the country from every prefecture in Japan. This ward itself was rather small, but this festival was the one place that everyone flocked to yearly, so if you wanted to see the best heroes and peddle your best wares, this was the best time to do it. Everyone in town from civilian to non would be spending most of the months leading up to it preparing for the festivities, generating stock to be sold or shown off in the hopes that they'd make back the difference or- perhaps- get to rub elbows with some of the best upcoming heroes.
That's exactly what Izuku Midoriya was doing for this festival.
Having been born Quirkless, discovering so at a young age, instead of wallowing in his despair for too long Izuku had chosen to put his efforts into learning how to create new support items for heroes to use. If he couldn't become a hero himself, then the next best thing would be to provide support for them, and early on his intelligence and quick thinking earned him praise from his teachers and peers alike. Things had been going well for him despite his misfortunes, having lacked both a Quirk as well as losing his childhood best friend to an early move...
Things had been going well, until the fateful day he'd gotten caught up in an awful tussle in the middle of the square, being too brave (or stupid) to stop himself from jumping in the fray regardless of no ability to truly help. They had been thieves, and one of them- a big, burly man with the head of a dog- had bitten him hard on the left shoulder, rendering him unconscious from the pain. And when he awoke...
He was a dog, too. And so now, Izuku was no longer a Quirkless human, but a human with something like a transferred Quirk. A rare ability that he knew not the remedy for, only that he'd been given all the attributes of a canine and nothing more. He'd been living this way for a few months now, which had slowed his production of his support items considerably. The festival itself was happening today and here he was, stuck helping his family decorate the square instead of getting his creations ready...]

It was a name he wore proudly, a name his fellow peers feared and respected. Admired as he rose to the top of his class, from when he moved to London at age four until he graduated high school. His Quirk was one that people envied-- the ability to shoot explosions out of his body through (colourful?) gunpowder stored in his pores, and the ability to shoot it out and ignite it with fire that shoots from the same place. Pretty gross when you think about the schematics of it, but no one thought it anything but powerful. He can shoot out as much as he wants, and uses his explosions to propel himself into the sky, burn villains to the ground, or perform amazing firework shows after a victory to gain the support of the civilians around him. That's how he got his name. His Quirk is classified as "Dynamite", but his Hero Name is "Firework."
He'd only been working as a Hero for a couple of months, but he had big plans. Big goals to become the world's greatest hero-- to overshadow All Might, the hero that he had respected ever since he was a young boy. Even living in another country didn't stop him, he simply wanted to become so famous in London that it would travel to all other corners of the world until his merchandise was in every single store. Of course... that wasn't going to happen in a day. So it was slow going, as he stopped robberies and thieves and saved a couple of kittens from tall trees.
His big break, however, was when he ran into Lupin. A transformative villain with the ability to transform other beings into dog-like hybrids like him. His Quirk is classified as "werewolf" and he's a serial killer, often eating those he bites in a viscous rampage that he embraced over the years of his life. He happened to be in the wrong part of town at the wrong time and was almost captured by Bakugo-- almost. He suffers a nasty, blue burn from one of Bakugo's explosions but ever since their fight he had gone completely missing. Bakugo spent the next two months on the search, looking everywhere he possibly could until he found it. CCTV footage from an airport of a wolf looking man taking a flight to Japan.
Japan... huh.
That's where he had been born, and where he made the only friend he was really able to keep, for as short lived as it was. A little boy by the name of Midoriya Izuku who lived next door and loved All Might just as much as Bakugo did. He honestly was crushed when his parents rushed him out of the house and into their car, telling him that he won't get to see his friend ever again because they had to leave. He didn't cry about it, but it soured his disposition for the years to come. He learned very fast how unfair the world worked, and from then decided to not bother with friendships and just focus on his goal-- his dream.
It's a lot for a four year old to decide, but he was a stubborn kid.
Either way, he packed his bags. He couldn't let a serial killer, whom he took the responsibility for since he was the one that couldn't capture him, go to another country just to wreak havoc on the people of Japan. Sure, All Might and other amazing Heroes lived there but he wanted to be the one to capture him. And.. it might make his great debut. Maybe he could become famous quicker than he initially thought, and he wouldn't be stuck saving Whiskers for grandma every other day of the week.
He kept that in mind as he took the long flight there, and when he arrived it was around midnight. Too late to try and go villain hunting, he supposed, but as soon as he arrived he heard of a festival being held in a nearby ward. One honoring heroes and if that didn't sound like the perfect place for a villain to try and ruin the fun.
So he got some rest, and awoke early the next morning. Dawned his Hero Costume and took a taxi to the neighboring ward to check it out. It was a small neighborhood, and for some reason the name of it was familiar to him but he just.. couldn't figure out why. He didn't think about it too long, because before he knew it he was already there.
And before he knew it, trouble was already brewing.
Of course villains would be attacking this festival today, and the early hours before it was fully set up was the perfect time. There would be support gear out for the stealing and not a lot of heroes there yet, either. So a group of thieves decided to attack-- starting off with one of them using an Earthquake Quirk to shock everyone so it'd be easier to steal.
However, that Quirk ended up uprooting a lamp post from the ground, and it fell right towards one of the people setting up the display. It could kill him easily from how big and heavy it was, but before it reaches him, there's the sound of a loud explosion and a colourful light of orange and pink in the air, and the lamp post falls the other way onto the ground.
In it's wake is a Hero, wearing a mask to obscure his eyes and a wild looking grin. His outfit was colourful and explosive, and he didn't look like someone anyone had seen before. And when he turned to look at the half-dog civilian in front of him, he laughed.]
Watch where you're walkin', Fido!
[...he spoke in English, as well.]

When he does open his eyes again, he's met with the sight of a hero he's never seen before. Someone colorful and loud, given the explosions, and people all around him are staring with a mixture of shock and awe as he falls to his feet nearby just as the lamp post falls elsewhere.
It's incredible. It happens so fast that his jaws hang open and he...doesn't even understand what the guy just said, except for one word.]
F-...Fido...?

[Before Deku can answer, a yell rings out and gets Bakugo to turn his head. He catches the sight of one of the villains running off with a support item a civilian had spent a year making, and he rushes after them with the intent to take it back.
Colourful bursts of blue, red, and green explode from the palms of his hands as he flies across the plaza towards the villain, and he barks out after him to let him know that he's not going to be let off.]
I'd drop that and hand yourself in peacefully, unless you want your face burnt to a fucking crisp!
[The villain doesn't need to understand that full sentence to get what he means, because even though Bakugo warns him he doesn't give him enough time to actually drop it before his face is suddenly grabbed within the palm of his hand-- and a burst of bright, hot pink explodes right into his face. It has the villain stumble back a few feet before he drops down to his ass, and Bakugo pulls a rope out of a bag on his waist to tie him up. The other villains.. are long gone, honestly. The moment they saw that terrifying foreigner chase their teammate with such force they booked it as fast as they could, but that doesn't bother Bakugo any. He sets off fireworks above his head, to signal his victory and laughs boisterously as people stand around him in awed silence.
Not even the person who's support gear has been stolen can say anything. Everyone's just trying to figure out who this Hero was, and where the fuck he came from.]

Meanwhile, Izuku's attention had never left Bakugou that entire time. He'd been watching with awe, watching the colorful explosions he created with eyes sparkling with inward admiration, his tail wagging before he even realizes it had begun to. He carefully gets up from the ground as Bakugou's being surrounded by onlookers, cautiously padding a little closer now that he's recovered a bit from the shock of everything.
Will he even be able to get close enough to see him properly? He's a foreigner, and he only seems to speak English anyway, but he does know a little bit...]
Ah- sir? Sir!
no subject
And when he hears someone calling out for him-- that dog-man he just saved-- he waves him over with a finger and people part to let him past.]
What, want my autograph or somethin'?
no subject
Thank you very much, Mr. Hero.
no subject
It swells his heart up with pride and he smirks, reaching out to clasp a hand on this smaller man's shoulder.]
Don't fuckin' mention it.
[There's a small pause, before he attempts to say it again in Japanese. Since yeah he.. forgot he was in Japan for a second there, and this guy clearly barely knows English.]
Don't worry it.
no subject
[Oh, how his eyes suddenly light up when he speaks Japanese, his tail wagging a mile a minute.]
Ahh! Hai, shinpaishinaide kudasai!! Eiyū no namae o oshietekudasai!
no subject
[Bakugo repeats that word a couple of times, trying to remember.. what it meant. The rest he sort of understands the gist of but "eiyuu"... oh.
Oh duh. How could he forget?]
Ah, sou. Ore wa... Firework.
no subject
Firework...Boku o tasukete kurete hontōni arigatō, Firework!
[He pads a step back and pats at his pockets, then starts to rummage in them a little with some difficulty before he manages to extricate a card. It's sticky on one side, like with tape...and it will be obvious if he thinks about it that it's because with his paws, he can't pick it up otherwise.
He holds it out for Bakugou to take, and on the card it reads:
"Deku Hero Support Company"]
no subject
But then he reads it over and something about it... gets his smile to falter. "Deku"... "Deku"... wasn't that?
No.. he wasn't a dog. It could be pure luck that this guy named his company after the stupid nickname he gave his childhood friend. It honestly was luck. That's all.]
Support kaisha, huh?
De? Namae wa?
no subject
For a split second, just a miniscule amount of time, his muzzle shifts and features split until a bright eyed young man is looking at him, his cheeks dusted with freckles.]
Boku wa Midoriya Izuku Desu! Shikashi, anata wa boku o Deku to yonde mo yoidesu!
[And just as quickly, he's back to canine, panting. He doesn't seem to have noticed what just happened.]
no subject
"Midoriya Izuku desu!" "Midoriya Izuku--"
Holy shit. Holy shit! That's why this ward was so familiar! It's the place he was goddamn born in-- how could he forget so easily? And in front of him was his childhood friend he had to leave behind, even though he dreadfully didn't want to.
And he.. can't say anything about it. He wants to keep his identity a secret, to keep his family safe when he becomes the greatest hero in the world. It's something he told himself he'd have to deal with when he very first debuted, and it's something he's not keen on just tossing aside because of old connections.
So.. he forces a grin, and reaches out to ruffle the fur on top of that dog-again head of his.]
Deku? Okashina...
[He laughs a little, as he takes his hand back.]
Douiu "Deku" desu ka?
no subject
The ruffle to his head causes Izuku to whimper without meaning to at all, a terribly happy sound that escapes him before he can stop it. As soon as he hears it he clams up and claps his paws over the end of his snout, shaking his head quickly.]
Ah- ahh- D...Deku...
[His ears fall back as he looks aside for a moment, then back up at Bakugou.]
Sore wa boku ni atae raremashita. Ī tomodachi ni. Sore wa tan'naru nikkunēmudesu.
no subject
[Honestly, it kind of hurts. But Bakugo does his best to hide it as he gives him one last small pat on the top of his head before turning around, his cape fluttering behind him as he does.]
Maa, o genki de. Deku-kun.
no subject
S...sir! Firework, please wait!
[That's said in English as he continues before he can turn around.]
Will see again?
no subject
What a silly question. Now that he knows you're Deku...]
Yeah. We'll see each other again.

Matsuri o tanoshinde kudasai!
